got the rf box off....now what?

Hey everyone I have a question. I am using a regular nes not the joy stick and I was wondering what do I do after I desolder the Rf box off? thanks in advance

Are you building the hand built NES from ben's book or the CNC version or your own? if so, I can probably help because I'm building an NES portable as well.

no, I want to try somethingmade up using most of the parts from the original nes (power button 2nd player port etc) beside well the screen and batteries and maybe casing haven't decided yet

From experience, you need to remove the useless expansion port that nintendo forgot about if you hadn't already. It's that mirror-like rectangle that looks like an inside out cartridge slot. Desolder its pins and try to remove it, but it's hard to get off, so try prying it off with prongs on a hammer. the port is no.2 in the photo (sorry, don't know how to make the picture smaller)

yup, took a picture with my Epson L500V. still kinda nOObish because I didn't know how to size the picture, OR use the scanner...this from the guy who bypassed his gameboys circuits to play color GBC games

It is possible, but it's very hard. I don't have my gameboy anymore, but I briefly remember you having to rip apart a super gameboy or gameboy color to get the IC that connects to the piture processing unit (PPU)
And then you have to wire the IC to the Z80 processor and replace the monochrome screen with a color one and having to add a wire to the PPU and CPU to trick the circuits into displaying color. I had to make new leads for the color LCDs and had to manually reprogram the system. You can try it, but I went through 2 gameboys cause I made some wrong wiring that overloaded the PPU and some parts of the CPU. Also, I had to cut the cartridge slot so the GBC games could fit. I think there were more pins on the GBC cart than GBO carts... I don't remember.

EDIT: the reason my gameboy is gone is because I sold it to some idiot for a price far out the assssssssssssss..........
Why didn't he just buy a gameboy color instead, you wonder......
