I setup a mirror of my site at http://gannon.freeserverhost.com . It's a little slow though. The neat part is I've been writing a script so whenever I update my site the mirror automatically updates too
I'm thinking of making a stripped down PoD mirror too.

That sound great for your site but I dont remember Doomportables.org ever going down. If you do make one for doomportables the people that cant access it directly might be able to use the mirror instead.

@sparkfist: PoD is out for some people for some crazy reason. I never get to the site. Before it loads I time out or get a "Cant find the site" thing.
