that i would like to hack to put normal composite video into (the yellow plug right?) here is a pin out for a ps2 (the input is the same as the playstation's output cord) http://gamesx.com/wiki/doku.php?id=av:playstationav Im hoping i can use this screen for portable hacking (a portable ps2) because it is so similar to the ps1 screen. If this screen wont work for a portable screen ill just buy the ps1 screen... With this screen I have tried putting 9v into it (it takes 8.5) and i used the 6th and the 8th pin to put a composite video signal from my ps2 into it, and it worked slightly. It was dark and like sparky looking, as if there was a short or something. I later tried to use my ipod and it wouldn't display anything. And if you are going to ask why im not jsut taking the screens input into the ps2 output it is because the screen is for a compact ps2 and i have a a fat one and the inputs/outputs dont fit together (the sizes are slightly off) i was thinking that the video might not have been playing right because of too much voltage, wrong input, or a short. thanks for the help
i figured out how to do it, but it doesnt look the greatest..i used 2 wires..a white one and a black one (they are for the composite + and -) so that i go run my ps2 for the cord...like i said it doesnt look good, but if others want to know how to get composite into the ps2 game screens, ask me..i have a another question now..what would look better rgb or composite video. and how much of a pain would it be to get the rgb working right
Here's where I am so far...Sharp screen commonly seen in Japanese pachislo machines, @ an inch thick!! As is, with component video, color is washed out, may need a cap to boost image quality. Won't mess with audio until I get the video improved.
Lol, looks to be the exact same sharp LCD in the old Gamecube Intec screens from a couple years ago. Back when I worked with it I noticed there are some RGB inputs to the plug in the back the LCD board...I never got around to perfecting it though. In fact, I still have it laying around somewhere...
