Help me make a New music thing (if itdoesnt exist)

Post by Kurt_ »

This is not a noise cancelling device. It is a noise adjusting device, for those of us who like to listen to music and talk, but hate adjusting everytime we enter a new sound environment.

It takes the ambient sound out of the microphones (the small kind in mp3 players that can easily fit on an earbud without making it much bigger at all) and adjusts the set volume as a percentage of the total noise instead of a set percentage of the total volume.

What do you think?

Does it exist?

Any smarter than me people wana help me with this?

It does exist! My Mom just got a new 2007 Rav4. When the car is slow, you have your volume set to what you want. As you speed up the volume goes up to seem as if it stayed the same. It cancells out the effect of your car getting louder and quieter music while driving on the highway.

I love this new SUV we got, it's awsome 8)

That works totally diff the car sees the speed and increases the volume by speed the older cars that first had this sucked it sould jump higher and lower not gradual

Think of it like a volume knob the gauge turns abit so would the volume knob

ont he old cars it went up 5miles and would do nothing then 6m it would jump higher.

For ear buds you would have to have a microphone on the buds to hear noise then something to translate how loud the noise is = how loud the volume is.

I don't believe this has been made but im sure i've seen plans on that type of device u just have to adapt it for volume control

Our Lexus RX400h does something similar like the above car.

Except it adjusts to the outside noise.
