4 Pin PSONE Power Swtich to DPDT switch

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Well, I need help on what pins to solder to where.

Errm what are you trying to do? I recently had some trouble with this, but I realised that ben's book was actually wrong about which two pins to connect to "jump" the switch.

ben can not be wrong its the playstation that is wrong :lol: i figure the reason it didnt work for you is because your ps1 is pal

Possible yes. But I don't think they would change which pins get connected when the switch is on, on the PAL version only.

How did you know I was in the UK?

well the nes snes n64 megadrive and probably others as well are different

Sorry, I looked at the picture in the book, and the traces are different to mine. So either you are right, or I am using a different version of the PSone.

Wait, I just need to know, each function of the pin, so I can properly hook it up to a DPDT switch.

Ok. 2 of the pins are just for mounting it, the other 2 are connected when the switch is on. On the bottom of the motherboard, when viewing with the player 1 & 2 ports towards you, the top 2 pins are the ones connected with the switch on. On the american version, the 2 pins on the left are connected when the switch is down.
