lamenting of a non-portabilizer

Post by myersn024 »

I am absolutely infatuated with the SNESp. I want to build one so bad, but I know that I'd fry a mobo or a screen in the process and I just don't have the kind of cash required to redo any part of such a daunting project. I've almost bought three psone screens off ebay, but I can't bring myself to pull the trigger since I know it'll wind up in the trash after I screw it up. I guess I'll just lurk these forums and try to pick up one that someone wants to get rid of.

Ok, so I'll admit that my original post was made under the influence of Sam Adams Boston Lager. Its amazing how quick you can lose your self confidence with Mr. Adams whispering in your ear.

Anyway, today I found a psone screen, made by Interact, for $20. I went ahead and picked it up. It has a 4" (measured diagonally) viewing area and works pretty darned good. It would be nice to find a pin out diagram for it, but if I have to figure it out myself it won't be a big deal. I've seen some other posts regarding the pin outs for this screen so I'll post up what I find once I get around to tearing it down. I'm not in any hurry though since haste makes waste....oh yeah, that and Christmas shopping has me f'ing broke!
