Free game downloads

So I just got a new videocard (now I can play games with better graphics than DOOM!) and I need some games to use it with. Do you know of any impressive/acceptable freeware games like sauerbraten or alien arena?

Depends on how good. Return to Castle Wolfenstein is pretty fun but not really as good as todays graphics. Or if you have a friend with Steam account and HL2 you could just borrow the account for a day or two.

Isn't that american army game free? It should have acceptable graphics no?

Yeah, AA is free, I find it really boring though.
You can download a demo of Halo, which includes 3 levels, and 1 multiplayer map. Another good one is BZFlag, a networked multiplayer game that gets really addictive.

RTCW isnt free. But wolfenstein enemy territory is!! It's a WWII shooter, with a pretty cool class system, I used to play it all the time.

i play WOLFET al the time! i'm josh and i usally am play on =Dri= Elite Noobs

I can't play anything but no quarter mod, it spoiled me way too much. I mean, nine freaking levels, crazy abilities, whats not to love. I also havent played since the end of summer, it would affect my grades too much.
