Hey, does anyone know how to turn off the PS2's Parental Lock DVD thing?
You know, it says "The Parental Setting of this player..." etc and you have to enter a code (I just press X four times) to get it to run.
It's STUPID! You have to put in a code for anything PG and up, but GTA loads perfectly fine!
How do I reset it?

I never was able to find out the code for my replacement PS2 (first one broke, thank god for warrenties), if your up to it you can go through all the possible codes. Granted its what 10 to the 4th power? So what about 10,000 combinations.

Maybe, the U.S. has some really stupid rules. I've also found that if you have a burned DVD (copy or your own) the PS2 doesnt have trouble playing it.

when you first get a ps2 you just shut it off in the menu but if its set with a password there is numbers you can enter that will blank it out its in the user manual dont know where mine is though so you will have to look it up yourself its

Im done here
Insert a DVD. When the movie starts, press Select to go to the menu. Find the "Setup" icon and select it. When in the setup menu, press Right(2) to get to the custom setup. Go down to "Parental Control" and press Right to go to "Region", then go down to go to "Level". You can now turn the parental control on or off, and/or change the password.
