Radica problem
I got a couple of Street Fighter 2 Radica games and removed the ROM inside and connected a cartridgesocket to it (followed the pinout on benhecks site) but then I try a real genesis cartridge it doesnt work. I saw that the Radica uses 3.3volt and the memorychips inside a cartridge uses 5volt so I dont think it can work How have you anyone solved this? 3.3->5volt converter circuits on all the pins or?

Take this into thought...Both of those games were on different systems...and both are Capcom
Now take that into perspective...Two games that were easily ported across the board...then the same code similarities
That leaves way too much room for many other types of emulators...and so that is my simple explination from a simple mind (anyone who has half a clue please interject)

Both were on the megadrive.
So why would radica spend more money on an entire new system with remarkable similarities to there other megadrive based system but use a non goac chip. It doesn't make sence.
The most logical reasoning based on the outputs of the existing globtops, the rom pinouts and the controller is that the system is still a GOAC. However the pinout are different or the rom chip has been modified to prevent modification / dumping. Possible as it might be a part of radicas licence with the software vendors to prevent their code from being extracted or to prevent it being a full megadrive.

There must be a way to figure out the pinouts of the SF2 Radica. There are some logic gates on the bottom side of the PCB and I guess they use it for addressdecoding so I guess I need to go pass them to get the addressbus direct to the connector for access, but its hard to figure out all the address and datalines.
What method did you use to determine the pin placement?
It seems quite likely the ROM chip may be rotated 180 degrees compared to the blue Radica, which would mean your cart slot would be wired backwards.
If you've checked that possibility, it may be that the A20 pin has been moved, as the pin is in different places in certain Genesis cart roms (according to Ben's first post on adding a cart slot to the Radica).

if it is 180 degrees rotated, try putting the cart on backwards? lol worth a shot
