GBA emulation works. N64 is not quite full speed but it's fast enough.dudex77 wrote:full speed? and does anyone know about saturn emulation? and even with 1.5 firmware if i could play me and my katamari or vice city stories? really im a total noob as far as the psp goes ive never looked into this at all but with 1.5 firmware who could resist? oh and how about gba emulation is it working?
You can play GTA:VCS just flash to 2.71 SE-C, and you can play Katamari.
2.71 SE-C is just like 1.50 it lets you run homebrew and it mounts isos and stuff in the game folder.
Then you can Devhook 3.02 firmware to play any > 2.71 firmware UMDs.
ummm...... yah me too i already explained im a total noob with psps so what would i have to do to flash it to 2.71 SE-C? just like run a program on it or something? and i probably wouldnt be running the games off of umds i hate those things i would run them off of the memory cards and i doubt i would play any other actual psp games on itvb_master wrote:GBA emulation works. I never could get it to work with US Nes games.CronoTriggerfan wrote:Is the GTA still available? Also, I heard it doesn't seem to work well with the Family Converter, IE it just plain won't play NES games. Is there any truth to this statement?
EDIT: Saw it was sold.Still, is what I heard about it true, as I'd like to invest in one someday.

I wasn't even impressed with SNES emulation on the PSP. It was slow and having to use frame skip is just plain annoying, IMO. Maybe it wasn't set up properly, but I can't imagine how slow N64 emulation must be, or GBA (though admittedly I haven't seen either of those two in action).vb_master wrote:GBA emulation works. N64 is alright but not fullspeed.
as a PSP homebrewing i can attest that SNES is full speed and now has online multiplayer via infrastructure.
N64 is 15-25 FPS depending on the game, i would say that mario 64 is almost full speed, but compatibility isnt great. Most games that are 8-16 MB roms run at close to full speed, but the larger roms like goldeneye and OoT are yet to be more than 3-5 FPS

<rant>Well you should try SNES9xTYL ME, it's full speed and is basically perfect</rant>jperryss wrote:Don't mean to threadjack, but...

GBA emulation is also perfect, but you need a gba_bios.bin, which you can make (but it gray area in legality).
When I tried Ocarina of Time 1.00 (E) on my PSP with Dadelus R7, it ran at like 4 FPS. I wanted to cry. There was no sound either!
Actually I might have to make a video now of GBSP and SNES9xTYL ME.
