Totokan's official 'PiiWii' topic
Ok, so I'm making a Portable Wii. Dubbed the PiiWii, I need it to do three things:
1) dock to my normal Wii until I get a mod-able one
2) Have screen with built in sensor bar
3) Have Batteries
Hopefully, this temporary setup will do until I get a permanantly moddable Wii. Anybody have ideas part-wise? I'll need help with info on power output, as my multimeter is out of commision for now. Also, Video Out with sensor bar is probably the easiest part. All I need to do is add 2 or 4 IrLED's to a screen

Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.

Well then all that you want to have is a psone screen with ir's on each side and a case that holds the batteries on the bottom that's connected to the screen and go's under the wii. Then have a plastic box type thing and put the ports in the proper placesso that you can just plug your wii in and it will work.

Eh, prioritys.totokan wrote:Also, SS, your lack of n64 DS emu (or is it DS n64 emu?) by 2 months is astounding.
1. School
2. Portable
3. GBC
4. Friends
5. SNezziDS
365. n64-ds-emu
I'd wait a month or so before completely portaableizingah!

Yeah, that's what I said in the first post. I'd like to use a larger screen, but , Unfortunatly, I've no idea where to start looking for a good one. I also need to figure out how the power is supplied to the Wii, and my lack of multimeter screws that up. Finally, I'd need to figure out exactly what capacity battery and what physical size battery I could use. Physical size wouldn't be much of a problem, as far as I can tell, as the screen's size should end up being the largest part.Metroid fan wrote:Well then all that you want to have is a psone screen with ir's on each side and a case that holds the batteries on the bottom that's connected to the screen and go's under the wii. Ya, I'm in the process of building one, I wouldn't dare open my Wii.... yet.BroKilla93 wrote:My Idea. SCREEN SIZE DOESN'T MATTER!!!
It's all about the width of the IR leds! It doesn't matter if the screen is .5" or 55"!
