Split-screen video games

I was playing halo the other day with a friend, (even though im not supposed to,) and I sniped him from a cliff. I missed though, because he looked at my screen and got in a ghost. I had an idea. wouldnt it be a good idea if you could get 2 small TVs, and have them in the same room, and play on 2 small tvs? better yet, 4? how would I do something like this?

You can also direct connect 2 Xboxes with a network cable called crossover cable.

You need :
2 Xbox
2 Halo Games
2 T.V's
1 Network Crossover Cable.

alright thats cool, That would be a little expensive though. oh well xbox 1 prices are going down on ebay. is there any other way I could do it?

oh and hailrazer: is there any way I could get a cord like that for 4 people?

Anyways, I'm sure using a uC and some pots you could set up a simple composite splitter that used the pots to adjust the V & H split points. (for 2 screens you'd adjust the one pot to center and the other to the side of the screen)

No, for 4 people you need 4 Ethernet Cords and a Ethernet hub. You can get the ethernet hubs for around $15-20.

It might get a video splitter cable (y cables) and make and hook it up to 4 tvs with an extender, then use the tv or monitors video positioning or do a custom mod on it (with what part of the image is contained) so each screen has its own tv. The xbox should get its own wireless cord or something. Also it would not effect the xbox but the signal quality might deteriorate.

Lol, that would work, but i meant like using the positioning to cancel out the other screens, so it is out of the screens field of view. There is also a device that can do all this and more, try and find it for you (some TVs can do it). Like my monitor can do that using horz. and vertical positioning.

I did the 2 XBOX thing for a party and it was easy. Just hook them up separetly like you always would and connect them with a cable

Are you not allowed to play M games? I remember the hell of no Halo. When Halo 2 came out, my brother convinced my mom to rent it, and she said it was OK. Now, I have Halo, Halo 2 CE, Prey CE, Gears of War CE, An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire, and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion CE. I got Oblivion when it was rated T, though, and my mom has no idea it's M now.

I'd like to be able to use one Xbox 360 (or PS3 or Wii) to do splitscreen, but have each screen on a separate TV. That would be cool.

Look at my posts thoughout this page man. I just told u how to do it with one console (360 yah) and then use your slitter and horsontal and vertical postioning.

no, im not. no m rated games. not even kombat for the SNES, no doom (even though I do play this all the time) and I cant get doom for GBA cuz its a doom game. I cant play any game thats rated M, my mom might say it looks fine, than later find out its M and it will be tooken away. I know, it sucks. If I can get all C's by the end of this semester though I can play M rated games.
