modding a gba sp - where can i get support?

about a month ago, I dropped by gba sp out of a second story window.

it still works.

the case was DESTROYED though (literally the case just came right off)

i am stuck with the sp hardware

what do i do?

I know! I'll mod it into my old TI-83 plus that had the cracked lcd!

It was working. Better than I'd hoped

But I need to relocate some things - anywhere I could get help on the sp's pinouts, wiring, etc. I just want to move the serial port, charging port, and maybe the L/R buttons.

If all you want to do is move the ports and butons, just desolder the ports and buttons and solder a wire from each pin to the corresponding spot on the gameboy.

Then just do the same thing for the shoulder buttons.

the tricy thing is that

1. i have no clue how many pins there r on each, and since they're so small....i dont like to mess up

2. i was wondering if there was anything that could be shaved, removed, ect.

3. i like reasurrance and comforting (=

1. On the link cable port there are 8 pins (2 of which are ground). On the Charge port thatre are also 8 pins (2 of which are ground). and for the shoulder buttons there are 4 pins each. I would suggest practicing on a broken mobo or something of that nature.


2. I don't think anything could be shaved off, also its pretty darn small as it is.

Anyone know how the power charging port is wired? I removed the port from the board and meant to relocate it. It has 8 pins on the port itself, but I can't seem to figure out where on the board the pins should be soldered....please help!

Well you should of used a multimeter to figure out the pinout of the power port and noted it down before taking it off.
