Rare Sony dual analog controller. Any body ever seen this?

Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Rare Sony dual analog controller. Any body ever seen this?

I was at my friend's house a couple of weeks ago, and he pulled a sweet playstation controller from his closet. I had never seen one like it and he didn't know anything about it other than that he liked it better than the regular dual shocks. So I did a little digging, and found out that it is actually a rare 1997 forerunner to the modern dual shock. Has anybody ever seen one of these. I am very interested in obtaining one of these things.

Looks more comfortable than the dual shock (the buttons and indented analog sticks at least)

It is actually a great controller. The analogs do slip a bit though, because they are not rubber coated.

Never seen one in person, but this page gives a good visual of how different it was from the original PS controller:

It looks to be a ton more comfortable than the Dual Shock, another one of Sony's blunders.

Actually they are. They only produced them for one year and there are almost none on the used market. It would be a real treat to find one that was still boxed up in retail packaging.

Um, that looks like the regular Dualshock for PSone. The tops of the analog sticks are not concave, and they look "grippy".

Edit: He he! Look what I found!

I have seen them all over the place so even if they really were only made for one year, they are not rare at all.
