Trifire (nice abbreviation, eh?
) doesn't want people to have people put pictures on their servers, only to have it be hotlinked by others (linking straight to the image from another site, taking their bandwidth and resources) To prevent this, they use that image instead. I'm not exactly sure how they can tell, but the images are fine if you view them from the original page they were made for, within trifire

If that's the case then you could post images from one Tripod/Angelfire site to another. I don't think that's the case, but it's been a bit of time since I had one of those accounts. I think (mostly guessing/trying to remember) that it has something to do with accessing their image with php because if I remember correctly you can post those images onto a non-Tripod/Angelfire site using HTML. Maybe someone with Tripod/Angelfire can confirm?
