decided for making an n64p help needed

Post by dudex77 »

ive been debating which system to make a portable for awhile now and decided since I was planning on getting a gp2x sometime anyways a pre n64 console was kind of pointless so im now thinking i will make a portable n64 so a few questions: I plan on getting a pal n64 since i have a pal screen, problem is i have ntsc games is modding it to make it multiregional difficult? is there a guide on how to do it somewhere? could it run off of 7.5 volts? and lastly is relocating the cartridge connector difficult?

I can't really answer your questions as I have never worked with anything but PAL, but I want to say this.
Have you ever portabalized anything else? Because N64 is probably one of the hardest Old Gen consoles to portabalise. Even Ben said he will never do one again, as they are too easy to break.

never portabalized anything before but i see no reason now other than for experience and the n64 is my favorite console even if it takes me forever to make im set on doing it. wouldn't modding a pal n64 be the same as an ntsc one? anyone else have reasons to prevent me from making one?

But would you still want to mod it first, after breaking or frying 7 or 8 different consoles? I advise a PSone to start with.
