Actually, it was unavailable for purchase until 11:00 AM PST, 2 PM Eastern. I kept hitting refresh, and then, it vanished- I had to scroll way down and click the link to that specific sale, but it wouldn't load. Then it was sold out a few moments later.
Kind of a rip, really. If they can't handle the server traffic, then they shouldn't hold these kinds of events.

Same thing happened to me, I was pretty pissed. I wasn't counting on getting one but I thought that I would at least be able to place an order. I just refreshed again at 12:59 here and it wouldn't load until it was all sold out. A little further
I did get a little further than that. I was able to click on the buy one button and was asked a question of "what is 20 + 12" This kinda threw me off. I grabbed a calculator (only kidding) did the math and started reading the terms and conditions. All of a sudden I realized that I needed to quit reading and buy the thing. I clicked submitt and it apoligized for being sold out. I am still kicking myself for being so slow.
