Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150, Need help!

Just today I got my Hauppauge WinTV-PVR-150. Installed it flawlessly, installed latest drivers. I tried to use Intervideo WinDVD Recorder 5, it crashed when trying to get the stream. Tried Intervideo WinDVR 3, did not crash yet did not display video. Tried the software Hauppauge made, WinTV2000. It worked, yet I hated it. I tried using VLC, it got the stream yet it did not get the audio. Can anyone help me with getting Intervideo WinDVR 3 to work or should I get SageTV, BeyondTV, etc.

Both Sage and Beyond are great software! I am currently using the standard software that came in the box (Stupid reformats). It is ok and gets me by but when I get the time I am going to put Sage back on. Also, what OS are you using? I know that when I was using MCE I had mucho problems with getting the video.
