Lists of Screens

Hello,

I was wondering if any one has complied a list of which screens work with which systems? If they have please direct me to their post or site, or tell me to find it my self if it exists.

all screens work with every system
except of course that the psone screen does not work with the Atari 2600

What you just said isn't true. I find it redundant that I ask a question about something and I end up answering it. I remember back when Kevin Horton or something made his portable Atari, he made a chroma decoder. I don't want to have to do that. Maybe I should have been a bit more specific about what screen I meant. I meant screen that come from possible game systems. If I wanted to make a portable Atari with an original game boy screen could I? I mean the Atari had a B&W function, so could I. Its thing like that I wish could be answered. I figured people like compiling info on other stuff, why not this.

If I remember right we already have a section on PoD that answers those questions.

Nomad and gg and gba are the only ones you can use and the GG and Nomad are hard to hack

For screen as you wish.

Handheld tvs - buy one, remove the rf and solder a composite line right to the video input.
PSOne screens - the standard here. They work with everything but the atari and we avoid using it with the atari bacause they're tempermental. Try it if you want but dont come complaining to us.
Hip Gear Screens - a happy new addion to the list. Ladyada gladly help show us that the screen can run off of 5v making this the cheapest screen around.
Nomad - Use the screen from a Nomad by connecting the RGB wires from your system to it.
GameGear - Requires you have the tv tuner as the screen is diginal and will not accept a analoge signal.
GBA/SP - Requires you have the A/V adapter or Transverter(sp) to send the signal into the screen, this too has a digital screen.

That about covers all the screens we use or have used on this MB.

well, I'm getting started on the table. I'll need gannon to update it (I got the bug again

Thats great to hear. Now this will help, the only screens DoP had was GameGear, Nomad and GBA/SP. Thanks for putting the info up Spongebuell and Gannon.

Thanks for all your great input. I appreciate it all. Why didn't anyone say anything about a chroma decoder, there is need for this device somewhere, even though I don't want to have to deal with that. Plus I wasn't just refering to screen's that go with atari's. but i'll check out doom portables.

The chroma decoder would be too much hassle for it to be worth it in my opinion, as well as many others I would think.

yeah, chroma decoders only come in smt style if I remember right, and they need additional circuitry outside of the chip to adjust color lines and such.

I did quite a bit with it, (all I'm missing is the Atari computers and Intellivision, I believe) and I sent it to gannon. If somebody believes there is an error, just let me know, and I'll tell gannon to fix it

yeah, I suppose, but there's no guarantee that the file in my hard drive is the latest, as I have no way to get whatever has been updated.
