I got to walmart at 5 pm Friday and was number 31 :P
I slowly worked my way up to 29, but they only had 28 in stock and ended up not getting any more in on their last day's truck. I then went to target and was #23 (they had 24 in stock) and proceded to wait through the 0-15 F weather until 7 am when I got my ticket and went to the nearest convenience store for breakfast :P

I would've liked to have camped out, but there were several problems:

1. I would be stuck with nothing to do, unless someone else in the line wanted to share, since I don't have a DS or a decent system to use my GameCube without a source of 120v AC.

2. My parents wouldn't go for the idea, especially because no one else I know was for the idea. Camping overnight by a Best Buy/Wal-Mart/Target would not be seen as safe.

3. I had to be in church this morning at 8:20 for handbells (and stay until 12:30), and my family forced me into going to my sister's school play at 7:30 last night, and between those, I wouldn't have been able to make it into line anyway.

Yeah, I'm a little disappointed, but I've decided to make the best of it. Turns out, my friend who preordered is actually in Montreal at the moment, so he hasn't played yet either. Besides, it'll be quicker in the long run to go in a week or so, right when they get the next shipment, yet before holiday shopping really takes off and makes stores into madhouses. I realize that there will be SOME holiday shoppers, but it'll be nothing compared to the sheer madness two weeks later.
