:D I never thought the cooling system would have been 'that' small. Too bad he didn't flip the main board, I would want to see the traces running on the back :P

Holy frickin' small! If you could modchip it and have the games on a laptop hard drive, you could make a portable super small for its speed.

Looks pretty ugly inside compared to the PS3.

Why do you say its ugly? Looks awesome to me. It looks to be a very efficient design, judging by the way everything is layed out. Looks quite durable as well, as is typical Nintendo fashion. Function over form.

I see what VB means, I mean, they did a great job fitting all of that stuff in such a small package. But the PS3 seems to have had more engineering gone into it's design.

That disc drive looks pretty compact. Put that with the small mobo size, (assumed) low power draw, and you have a pretty good portable candidate - except it's hard to play with a Wiimote on a 5" screen :)
Might be a good (albeit expensive) gamecube portable.

I've fallen in love with the simple elegance of the Wii's design, both internal and external.

If I had the money to blow, I'd be in line right now. And, if I had even more money, I'd buy two. One to portablize. Yes, the Wiimote won't be functional, but it'd make an awesome gamecube/virtual console portable, one would think.

I think you need the wii mote to pick GC or wii disks though.

Really? Even if you have the classic controller plugged in/whatever?

No, but I can say that you can use the classic controller to navigate the menus.
Without games my life would have no meaning.
Well, I guess it would, but it would be a lot less fun!!!!!!!

Are Gamecube controllers usable on Wii games, or just GC games?

I'm not sure....I'll have to check...but first, more Zelda! or perhaps a nap...I may not have stayed overnight, but doesn't mean I didn't get a lot of sleep :P.
