That'd be real nice, except than that horrible power consumption... I'll stick with my Genisis 3 and it's 10v 0.3a power consumption.

I doubt that it actually takes 1.2A to power that, though

....that's probably just the rating on the AC adapter.

If I had to say for something like that, the most it would draw would be something like 500mA. There is no way that such a device would take more power, namely because one chip doing it all is going to take less power to run then 5 chips doing the same actions.

Try setting it up so you can check the power rate, use a multimeter.

Yeah this thing is tiny so a Nomad clone would be great, just gotta get the hard part...the case. The nomad case was awesome from what I remember. We need someone skilled to start making cases, that would make it a lot easier. I'd pay $50 for a quality case.

The power adapter is rated for 10V at 1.2A, but I too doubt that it needs that much current. BUT on that note, how come when I use a standard Gen2 AC adapter (10v, 0.85a) it spits out a garbled image and games crash?

If the system would need ~500mA like everyone thinks, why does going from 1.2A to 0.85A make the system unstable? I'm a hobbyist with electronics but I don't have a clue about that one.

they claim that much of a variance on amps would be unstable,
However, some games, such as sonic 3, would draw more amperage due to their power needs

1. Does the 32X work?
2. How does Virtua Racing work? (the Genesis version, it draws a lot of electrical power)

Very interesting...an ironically it's higher quality than the Radicas lol. I would be interested in buying one for $20. Anyone selling them or know where to buy one?
