Recording software

Does anyone know of any program similar to GarageBand that is for Windows? Or just any good recording freeware, if there is one. Any help is appreciated.
PSp is about 70% done, just have to do the controller and case.

Thanks vb, that is working beautifully.
PSp is about 70% done, just have to do the controller and case.
