RCA L2500BC Troubleshooting questions

I have a RCA L2500BC tv that does not work and would like some suggestions on how to go about troubleshooting and fixing it. THis is what I have done so far.

1. Opened up the batter door and saw that a battery had at one time leaked in the compartment. I then cleaned the battery conetors with some fine grit sandpaper.
2. put new batteries in and turned the switch to VHF then UHF. I didn't get anything, no screen lights no sound no nothing.
3. I opened up the case and cheked the leads on the board where the batteries hook to see if there was any juice going through. THere was so I cheked the leads on the switch to see if juice flowed through them and there was.

At this point I don't know what to do, I know the board looks clean and there appears to be no corosion or physicly broken parts. I read in ben's book that there is a fuse that is blown very easily so I looked all over for it and didn't find anything that resembled the picture in the book.

So my questions are, does the RCA L2500BC have a fuse that can be bipassed? If so where is it located? Is there something else that I should be looking for instead?

I am totally new at this and would greatly appriciate any advice that is available with the exception of the responce that I should search the forum because I already have several times and I can not find any info that is pertenant to help me at the point I am at right now. With a little more insight That may not stand later.

Edit: I have just solved my own problem. For any other newbs such as myself who search for the fuse on the RCA L2500BC or the L2501 cause I think they are simaler. Look for the lable FS###. FS stands for fuse. R stands for resistor and C stands for capacitor. Sorry if this is commonly known information but for anyone who doesn't know it, it may be helpfull.
