Man I hate gameshlop

when I went over to play the wii the guys there said they would take nothing but a drivers lisense... I even had my drivers permit! Gameshlop sucks!

That's ridiculous! They declined my Student ID AND driver's training permit, but when I forked over my MOM'S old credit card that she let me have just in case, they accepted it without even checking the name.

Gamestop pisses me off to no end (though I do wanna work there, just for reserve rights, plus the employees play games during downtime

).

thats weird they let me hand in my school id, they even gave me two wii motes one for me and one for my friend

wow.. They took my whole wallet... But it was sooooooooo worth it. I have to say I wasnt going to give Wii sports much of a chance. But I now realize that I should have...This is gunna be a fun week

I just played at my GameStop, & I seriously think Nintendo should of invested the extra money to slap Component cables on them. The composite signal looked like crap! It was fun though, even though my brothers where more interested in Guitar Hero 2...

Nintendo does have component cables for the Wii....

I meant on the kiosks. Looking at a 720p LCD screen display a whole whopping 480 lines of interlaced video flawed with composite defects does NOT look appealing!

Well even with the component cables, it would still broadcast it 480; personally, I really don't care much about the definition/resolution. HD and high res is great, but if you're stuck with composite, no big deal. Especially with the Wii's graphics...

he is actually right tho, 480p with component cables looks worlds better that composite on a hdtv screen. even if resolution is about the same (progressive instead of interlaced) the signal quality is much higher, i plan on getting component cables as soon as we get our hdtv fixed or replaced

Heck, even S-Video looks way better than composite! On Composite, the alpha & Luma signals intersect, causing defects such as checkerboard patterns & rainbow-like effects on detailed patterns. S-Video has seperate leads for the Luma & Chroma signals, so these defects don't happen!

Ive preordered a Wii, so i dont think im going to try the demo kiosk. It'll probably just leave me with blue balls

And also, component video all the way. I have a NICE hdtv, and component cables for my gamecube. The difference it makes in games like Metroid Prime, RE4 and Eternal Darkness is phenomenal. On cheaper tv sets it wont make much of a difference maybe, but on a nice tv its like pouring a Redbull into your gamecube. They REALLY need to hook the kiosks up with component.

my old t-v in my room crapped out on me all the colors turned green and reds turned blue and stuff like that.

so now I've got one that accepts component video. I'm definitely planning on going for the component cables now
