Gears of War is now in my possession. The UPS dude showed up right after I got to Circuit City, so I actually got to be the first one to buy it and I got a free face plate too! It's good to be a geek.benheck wrote:And I am buying a DS to play Castlevania.
OF COURSE I bought a GBA back in the day for the same reason, and slogged through many hours of unlit gaming, but this time SHOULD be different.
Jones, lemme know when you get GOW, I wouldn't mind trying it out.

If you have nothing better to do tonight, feel free to stop over and we can curb stomp some alien hide. Should be a good time.

Funny, I am usually up to date with everything going on in the gaming world, but somehow I missed that one. I wouldn't mind a link. It doesn't really matter to me because I will have a 360 soon anyway. Though it does seem kind of sad, Sony consoles always having been my favorites, to see Sony loosing all of it's 3rd party exclusives. Oh and on a side note, Ben and Jones, MGS4 will not be on 360, Hideo Kojima has once again confermed that. The article is about Konami urging Kojima productions to go multiplatform with MGS4 for higher profit, due to the high production costs. I can see MGS4 coming to 360 maybe with the inevitable second release of MGS4 with all the add ons and such.CronoTriggerfan wrote:You don't pay much attention to what SE says, do you?XPCportables wrote:where did hopes for KHIII on 360 come from? I sereously doubt that that will happenThey've already announced their distaste and distrust with Sony, and has said that they may multi-platform their mainstream titles. Which basically means will they put their games on 360.

I would agree with you that I don't foresee it coming to the 360 either. And, the beauty of it is, I don't care.
Konami did give us 360 owners a better gift by blessing us with Contra on the Xbox Live Arcade anyway. It can even be played co-op over Xbox Live! Now that's cool!

Yeah, but I played it the other night for awhile and it's still pretty cool. I'm sure they'll get the kinks worked out with the online stuff. If it can be done for Doom, I'm sure it can be done for Contra.benheck wrote:Apparently the Contra co-op is broken on the Live version. Plus it's the arcade version of the game, so EH.....

I don't recall, but maybe we did. Too many things going on to keep track of.

i wonder if theres a wii around me somewhere, i havent really put much thought to it personally
I wont be buying one (or any of the others) but i am still mildy curious
Also id just like to throw this little bit into the debate soup:
In the previous generation the difference in the graphical power of each system wasnt very noticeable and most titles looked fairly similar on cross format releases
However this generation we have three systems all at different levels of graphical capabilities with the wii at one end and the PS3 at the other. So im unsure whether this generation will follow the "least powerful wins" theory.
It should prove an interesting generation all around

I just played Excitetruck at the mall (and won!) while waiting to see Borat.
It was intense.
The funny thing was the crowd of noobs around it who didn't know what to do with the kiosk since the shopkeeper holds onto the wiimote. They thought you didn't use controls or something and were touching the screen and talking to the system...
Then I walk up after exchanging my state ID for a wiimote and I'm just like, "Step aside, you don't know fact one about the genious that is Nintendo". Of course, that quote's just the vibes I was giving off, and not at all anything I said.
And Borat was nice too.
