making my first portable and its an n64:D
hey there making a n64 portable myself , figured it be a good challenge, got lots of pics but sorry about the quality, used my webcam, dont own a digi, its pretty much all done except I have a prob when I power it off a 12v wall adapter line it runs fine for a few min then starts reseting, i dont have batteries yet, but the power plug is rated 750 mAh and wondering if that may be the prob im having. I used an old project box to hold it all, was the perfect size, have plastic screws holding down the n64 board, took out the d-pad and replaced it with the analog stick, had a hell of a time fitting the stick plus the L button, using an gamecube intec screen, did the led mod ,also relocated the z and start button plus extended the cartridge slot using an 50 pin from an old scuzzy hard drive and a cable. but if I could stop it from reseting it would be all done so any help would be appreciated

yeah did the led mod, had to add like 6 just to get the screen bright enough, but the dc/dc converter says 3v but when I test it looks like a little under 3v would that be a big prob?, was going to order one of those free samples from ti.com but dont think ther giving free samples of the part that everyone else got:( i will try and find an adaptor with an higher rating and post how it goes

Go to the samples page and put in : PTH08000W
Then it will take you to the page where you can select both of these : PTH08000WAH or PTH08000WAZ

sweet  that worked perfect, but this game cube screen is horrible though even with like 5 leds, would anyone know where I can get a new one or used cheap? or what the name of the transformer and the light bulb are called, in the hopes I can just order the parts and put them back on, but as for that one prob it works great I will takea pic of the inside after its all up and running, its pretty crammed in side though because I couldnt find a smaller cable for relocating the cartridge

My kids have one for their Gamecube and it sucks compared to the Psone screen.
