Audio Video in on a Insignia portable DVD player?

Umm.... Im going on a trip in a week or two or so and won't be able to finish the portable Im working on before then so I was wondering... How could I get AV in on this thing..?

It apearantly has A/V in however its like a headphone jack and Im stupid and have no clue how to plug a game system into it.

Did your DVD player come w/ a dongle that has 3 or 2 RCA jacks leading to what looks like a headphone jack?

I'm sure you could build a simple converter. Or you could build the thing yourself, just get some RCA jacks (old VCR's are good sources) and a three channel headphone jack (radioshack should have it.) Also, I have one I don't need if you're really desperate.

I don't understand ? You just plug that adapter into a DVD player or game system and it will work.

Or if your device has output plugs already you just use 3 rca couplers and it will work .

Damn you beat me to it! Well yea, he's right. I did a same thing with my 360 hook up, as in I took couplers to convert male RCA's to Female and vice versa.

My cord hooks to a game's RCA outs on one end, and a black audio plug into the headphone jack / yellow video plug into a headphone-looking video jack on the portable DVD end

Turn the DVD player on without a DVD in it.
Hook up and turn on your game/video source.
Press or switch the in/out button.
The game or source should appear on the DVD screen.

Whoops, sorry! I thought you were talking about a direct line into a console with the RCA cord. That's what I get for pulling all those all-nighters!
