I do.

Why go through all that when you can try cleaning it first?

Second, you CAN find the right connectctor that just pops in. I'm sure of it.

I am going to try first, but if that doesn't work then I'll do that.

I've noticed with cleaning cartridge conectors or cartridges them selves, the worse thing to use is alcohol. If anything, take some really fine grit, really drable (as not to leave any dust inside the system) sand paper and scrub the pins and conectors. A file can do the same trick, but you have to be extra carful for metal shavings.

I've done this to every cartridge bassed system I have and everything works great. Especially my SNES, Genesis 1, SMS, and N64. My NES still has problems due to the cartridge conector design it's self. Though it's only problematic for a few moments.

hey whats wrong with using alcohol? ive been using it recently and it works great granted you dont use to much. plus the nintendo cleaning kits were basically just some cotton swabs with some alcohol solution. and using a file sounds like a bad idea to me.

PEOPLE! Stop responding to spambot posts!
All that does is add to the spam pile. STOP IT!

As for getting a SNES to read cartridges, try a piece of cardboard with alcohol on it. That worked on my Genesis.
