Also, even if it had a battery, it'd require so much juice that it would be crazy(er)-expensive and heavy.

He quoted you that much eh? ouchies....

I'm gathering the funds right now to pay for mine, however, its moving rather slow right now due to two main problems:

problem one: Just got laid off...freaking cut backs suck!!! Not a big problem really to be honest. I have something coming up so its okay.

problem two: Saving up to get married as well!!! Gotta put money toward the reception hall, photographer, dj, church, invitations, etc.

So, right now, it'll be a while before I get the money to pay for one.

As awesome as the 360 laptop is, I don't think it would be worth it if it's not portable. It just doesn't seem like the M$ consoles are designed with any intention of having it move more than half a foot from the shelf. Perhaps they will release a second edition "Lite" 360 later on and it will be more usable, but until then... meh.

See, there is a good place for a 360 laptop. However, I find ot to be an incredibly awesome waste of money (The awesome part refering to the laptop itself)

I KNEW someone would be insa-err, excited enough to throw over all that dough! Although it's extremely overpriced, it's still a beautiful looking console. Don't forget to share pics with us when it's done, and have fun with it! :)

Wish would come down on the price just a bit :(

Wonder if he has any plans to pull off a "PS3-top"

so now that the xbox supports 1080p and has a hd-dvd drive is there any way to incorporate those into the next laptop? what about adding a bigger hard drive and then playing the games off of that...is it possible?

It is possible to add a bigger hard drive, but you cannot play games off of it because (to my knowledge) there is no modchip currently out to do it effectively. I know there is one that can replicate the DVD drive, but I personally don't trust those, so you might want to wait for the next generation of modchips to come around before trying it.
