I got a Compaq Presario C304NR and upgraded it to 1.25 gigs of ram!

Speaking of which,what is everyone eles's best computer?

The rig in my room has 256MB of RAM, & a 1GHz Celeron OC'd to 1.25-ish GHz. I burnt out my last HDD when my last power supply went out, so I have it running Win2000 on a 10GB HDD. Plus of course an LED fan. (& plus the PSU has some LED's in it also)

My Dell Inspiron E1505, however, has 1GB of ram shared w/ the video chipset, a 50GB HDD, & an Intel Centrino Duo; 1.33 per core.core.

EDIT: By the way, the rig only has a TNT2 Model 2 gfx card...

Dell laptop, Pentium 2 (333 Mhz), 320mb ram, 20 gig harddrive (bummed of my friend) with Xp. Boots up faster than my family computer (Emachines Celeron D, 2.93Ghz, 512 Ram, 80 gb HD.)

my compy's pretty out of date: 1.6ghz , 512mb ram , 14gb HDD.

my best working laptop is aging pretty bad: 25mhz , 8mb ram , 180mb HHD.
my other laptop is beastly: 333mhz , 64mb ram , but no hard drive.

when i get a job i'm gonna get a better one that can play more games and do more stuff and have higher resolution than 640x480.

Really I'm kind of screwed as not one of my machines is setup or working as I'd like. And I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place with my laptop, but I wont make a rant out of it.

8GB SCSI hard drive (kicks the snot out of all but the most recent SATA drives)
8x4x32 CD-RW
Dual Matrox Millenium II PCI/agp graphics (excellent 2d performance)
Sound Blaster AWE32 sound card (it's a MONSTER! Speech and wavetable synthesis built-in. Mine has 16MB of ram right on the sound card!)

The dual CPUs are really nice - with Windows 2000 and up, you can assign programs to either one CPU or both. When I'm making PCBs and running Eagle's autorouter, I assign it to the second CPU and let it run with 100% cpu. Then I can surf the web with no slowdown on the other processor

Or I can have Eagle run on both CPUs and get the job done twice as fast.

I had a server at one point, it was huge, ancient, had dual processor slots but only one in use, and the only useful part out of it was a 120mm fan, which now sits in my pc that's about 1000x the processing speed of it.
Anyways, my specs are (the same as usual):
-3.4 ghz hyperthreading 64bit Intel Pentium 4 (Still wanna upgrade, mobo supports conroe!)
-1 gb ddr pc 4200 ram (2 512mb sticks)
-The most expensive piece in this entire pc: the gfx card:
--Asus 7900GT-TOP (Watercooled)
-100Gb SATA HD (This PC is not used for internet, I use it for gaming and so the networked storage total of 1.2TB is enough space for anything other than games)
-DVD 'burner' (all, up to DL, I believe)
-500Watt Modular PSU

I am hooking up my ghetto LAN rig soon, I got a AMD Duron 1.1 Ghz off ebay with 1 stick of 128 MB ram. All I need now is a decent video card.... I'll probably head out to the flea market to snag a deal

my oldest x86 computer is a wang pc240 with a 286 processor and a 1gb hdd running win95 next is my PB legend 814cd with a 386dx then my 75mhz pentium PC then my GCTP with a 400mhz transmeta crusoe then my 500mhz compaq followed by my 733mhz celeron MSNtv2 then our vaio pcg rx550 p5 1.5ghz(i think) then our main pc which i mentioned previously

My current PC is an Asus S96J Laptop I put together.

1280x800 glossy 15.4" screen
CD-RW/DVD combo drive
2GHz Core Duo
1GB DDR2 667 (soon to be 2GB)
80GB 5400RPM SATA hard drive
X1600 512MB (256MB + 256MB hypermemory)

Thats about it, though I'm planning on adding another gig, getting the compatable internal wireless chip, and maybe uping the hard drive to 120GB, or 80GB 7200RPM. I'd also like to splice two additional hard drive mounts into the screen casing, and hook them up via USB internally.
