@Sparkboyfistofpower: Yeah, I kinda wanted to see what the Game Gear would have looked like, had they made it a Nomad-type thing instead.

@ChronoTfan: Thanks! I love this hobby lots! Thats odd about the paint... I've used the gloss before and didn't notice any stickiness. This stuff was satin (or semi-flat as they called it), and it feels just like automotive paint, like you'd find in a car dashboard. Good stuff.

@XPC: Thank ya! I have pics here, and if you read back there is an explanation of the steps taken thus far with a pic for each step

I can tell! Hmmm; maybe it was how much I put on; how many coats of the good stuff did you throw on this fine piece of work?

Just a couple light ones. And a touch up coat. It gets easy to chip if you go too heavy, and shows through if you go too light, so practice is good if you want it to look right.
Did you shake the can for the reccomended 2 minutes? I've cut that time short before, and the paint didn't dry right because it didn't get mixed well enough.

5 minutes, actually!

Although I put on about 5 layers, 4 of which were heavy; I'm pretty sure the problem lies there. Thanks, G!

Oh, and about Krylon Fusion; I've used it on all my portables and loved it! However, I've noticed it's rather.....sticky. I don't know if it's the fact that I use the glossy kind over the flat or not, though; I see you've used the flat kind instead of the glossy, and it looks amazing! Is it less sticky, or for that matter, sticky at all? Thanks!

ive noticed this about fusion also, and it doesnt like to stick to bondo wel for me, just buy the krylon primer and normal krylon brand paint

When you get to the wiring, be sure to show every detail. Because I have the same model Radica and want to try my hand at this aswell. Yes, I did infact read the whole thread lol.

Doesn't stick well to bondo, you say? This is good to know, as I've recently started a project that requires quite a bit of bondo work.

I've also never put on primer when using Fusion; that would probably help!

i'd just reccomend staying away from fusion and using normal krylon paint it worked a lot better on my n64p

Actually I meant can you give us more pics of the newly painted case, I'd like to see how the ABC buttons turned out more up close ya know.

When you put the controller inside this thing I reccomend using 1st generation Genesis buttons. They have red letters on the ABC buttons so they look cooler.

I like the looks of this, and Nomad wasn't exactly amazing, because it was never released over here.

@Gump: I agree, the red colored letters would look a lot better. I wish I had one around. Have to keep an eye out I guess.

In updateville:
I have wired up the cartridge to the Radica... And it doesn't work.

Suck. It may just be that a wire is cold-soldered, but I highly doubt it. All I get is a black screen with any cart I try. I'm guessing that Street Fighter radica's plain just don't work. It might be that the rom is slightly different, but I have no idea how ben did his trace work on his radica, so his pinout is all I have to go on.

So I'll mess with it a bit. If it stil doesn't work, then I'll have to save up for an older style radica. Bah.

It would be interesting to see if the roms are indeed the original.

Certain memory addresses for instance may have been xored, who knows.

Check on one of my previous posts to a thread which has some ideas on the SF2 radica. I would be interested in your findings as i'm almost at your stage also.

the roms are, paulpomids.... whatever, in the sticky wired one up to a crappy game and said it worked
