My DS lite has a cracked hinge, a dead pixel, and a broken L button. I heard somewhere that Nintendo will fix the crack for free? Is this true? If it is, first: How do I do it? And second: Do they actually fix the crack, or replace the whole system? I'm hoping they replace it, because the dead pixel is annoying, and not being able to press L is even more annoying.

I think all ds lites are still in warranty.Meh wrote:Is it within warranty? If so, then phone the support line and tell them that this crack has formed from normal use, in which case they must by law replace it.
and yes, they will fix the hinge problem- my brother actually just sent his out yesterday.

I'd think they would just send you another identical (possibly refurbished) unit. That would save them time and money. Then again I could be wrong...

Yeah its kind of easier to shove it up your butt and work for $0.05 an hour to pay for a new one. I don't know about yous but it started with a dead pixel and hasn't ended yet I have to send my DS in for the 4th time. I have kinda fried my other DS from a mod and swopped out the boards so the can give me another new one. Its a long story but Nintendo Repair sucks.

I find microsofts repairs to be quite quick aswell as nintendo's. Atleast when I sent them my 360 I got it back in 5 days which I think is pretty fast. However the said to me they replaced the console but I'm pretty sure it's my old one. Now it's having the same problem so I'm sending it back againsammy wrote:Just call and they'll help you out. Nintendo's repair service is really good and fast.
