Thrift Store Run
I went to two thrift stores today. Only one had something i wanted at that moment.
99cent NES (only console, untested)
11$ SNES (console, 2 controllers, untested)
it was worth every penny.
the other had a ton of Atari games, but I will go back when they have their 30% sale.
casey.

we've had so many of these threads, we seriously need to make a Sticky. Super Duper Cereal.
Anyways...
A week ago, my school decide to throw out EVERY old computer. My friend and I combined got like 12 nice computers, (including one miniserver), ten routers, a bunch of speakers, cords and keyboards, and a switch box. It's a pretty nice haul. They even had a copulate mainframe, but obviously way to big to take.

I just got an SRS "WOW Thing" box for a buck.
Just need to figure out how to power it... (no power supply)
http://www.geek.com/hwswrev/conel/wowthing/index.htm
If you have one, could you tell me the voltage and polarity of the power supply? I'm pretty sure the tip (inside of the connector) is positive and the ring is negative, just not sure of the voltage. Maybe 12? maybe 7? Who knows?

Gamegear with Super Columns 2.99 @ good will, works great, both battery colors. They had two genny's but they were both missing the power adapters and tv hook-ups so I skipped those.

today, I found a three LEDs and two switches on a old computer faceplate (I was on my way to school and I didnt have time to grab the whole case, or what was left of it) If there were any hardware, I would have grabed it no-question
PS I also found a motherboard & CPU in a dumpster that worked, but the motherboard kinda broke when i tried to pull it out of the case (what was left of it!)

oooh, big find today!
virtual boy console complete and working
rental unit case
complete ac adapter set and AA battery pack
vertical force and baseball game
$30
do an ebay search on completed listings using 'virtual boy case'
$200-300+
I'll be cleaning this case/system up for sale
(nobody likes virtual boy that much, and I have another one)

that baseball game is actually playable. unlike most baseball games I've played, you can see how far away the ball is--it's the best baseball game I've seen.
