I really don't like Sony anymore.
From Lik-Sang's article:
A Sony spokesperson declined to comment directly on the lawsuit against Lik-Sang, but recently went on to tell Gamesindustry.biz that "ultimately, we're trying to protect consumers from being sold hardware that does not conform to strict EU or UK consumer safety standards, due to voltage supply differences et cetera; is not - in PS3's case - backwards compatible with either PS1 or PS2 software; will not play European Blu-Ray movies or DVDs; and will not be covered by warranty".
Lik Sang strongly disagrees with Sony's opinion that their customers need this kind of protection and pointed out that PSP consoles shipped from Lik-Sang contained genuine Sony 100V-240V AC Adapters that carry CE and other safety marks and are compatible world wide. All PSP consoles were in conformity with all EU and UK consumer safety regulations.
In other words, Sony is using a trite excuse to get Lik-Sang shut down, because they want to have a monopoly on PS3 distribution. Idiots.

Well you see Sony as a whole makes money of of it. But Sony Europe doesn't. Ya get?Lucretius wrote:It makes no sense! Why would you shut down a retailer that operates to your benefit?! Between Apple and Sony, I can't tell which is more paranoid and shoots themselves in the foot more often. At least Apple makes "good" products!

Oh *#%Y^#(&% you Sony! After you infect my computer with spyware from your music CD's, after you make it so no homebrew can be used on my brothers PSP, after you decieve people with false info on game systems, after you rip-off any innovation anybody else comes up with. After all that and more, you shut down my favorite game import store.
I'm boycotting. And I mean it. I hope they go down the tubes.
*sigh* I miss the days of the PlayStation. Either Sony wasn't like this then, or I was too ignorant to notice.

I was boycotting Sony already, I've never bought any Sony stuff new and only have a PS, PSone, PSone screen, 2 controllers, 2 memory cards, and 15 games. I got all but the PSone and screen for free. I never liked the PS2, the controllers were crap (I love xbox and xbox360 controllers) and i just didnt like it (its about as big as a xbox, dont know what people were thinking about xbox being huge). And I won't get a PS3 because I like food.G-force wrote:Oh *#%Y^#(&% you Sony!
