Lighting the XBOX controler

I was following a tutorial I have to light up the XBOX controler, basicly tapping off its 5v power supply to run 6 LED lights. Here is a pic of waht I did.

Ok, heres where I need help. All the lights flash on and off about 4 or so times then go to a very, very dim glow. Does anyone know what I did wrong?

make sure all the LEDs are pointed there correct direction and bypass the switch for now, also, check the value resistor you need...

Switch is fine, I made sure of that. I tried a 10 ohm resister, no change but was a tad brighter. And all LEDs are correct, I wired them in such a way that I didn't need to worry about that.

Woot! Fixed

I donno exactly what was wrong, but I soldered to another spot and now it works

ah sounds like a ground problem that you fixed!

What happened was that not enough electrons were flowing properly and that was what cause the blinking and then the dimmness
