Adventure Double Pack DVD Actually Done!

Post by benheck »

Yes, it only took my computer 12 hours, but I managed to fit both Adventure and its sequel The Adventurous onto 1 DVD without locking up my crappy 1.5 gig'er! Since they're older movies the lower quality setting don't affect it much.

I'll designed the DVD case cover today, and print some labels tomorrow.

So I'm thinking both movies (on one disc), the case, custom label for $20, which would include shipping to the continental US.

Total running time of both would be 2 hours 45 minutes, which is about the length of one "epic" these days.

If anyone would like to order one let me know at my usual email address. The Adventure movie pages will hopefully be updated by tomorrow as well.

I've also got the Port Washington DVD covers done - they're slick! Course, you can't buy that one yet...

Note: They'll be DVD-R, which seems to work in most players (Even my PS2 sometimes!)

One problem is that the media is like $50 a piece.

I have a dual-layer burner and the discs for it are like $10 each. Hard to make a profit like that.

NewEgg has cheaper ones?

The quality is still fine for Adventure (and believe me, I'd be the first to complain if it wasn't) Probably PW will have a dual-layer disc with extras, though.

How compatible are the dual-layer discs? Aren't they all DVD+R, which, at least for regular 4.7 gig discs, are less compatible than DVD-R?

-R is more compatible than +R in general.

My copy of Lizard of Death came today! Can't wait to watch it. It'll probably be a little whileuntil I get The Adventure duet or PW, have lots of other stuff to buy that's more important. :( Can't wait though.
