2.5" intec screen ?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

2.5" intec screen ?

Post by shmagoogin77 »

is it possible to run the 2.5" intec screen off 5v and get a good backlight amount?
it was some kind off regulator on it, but when i went to see the volatages it said the input was like 4.8 when i have 5v on the batteries but then the out was like 3.5v so then i was really confused???
should i do an led mod to it??

Not sure about the voltage issue. Could you repeat the second line in flowing English, seeing as it's kinda hard to read a sentence lacking even basic textual structure.... :?

Anyways, don't do the LED mod. On such a small screen, the power consumption wouldn't be drastically changed, and it would also be kinda tough to find LED's that small.

ok heres the second line in english (sorry i was in a rush)
ok so on the intecs board theres a regulator, when i connect 5v to it it read around 3.5v output which i thought was werid, i was wondering if bypassing the regulator would allow more backlight
