Super Mario Bros. IV: The Myhth, The Game, The Legend

Post by Fanboy »

I remember, a long while back, hearing about a special game cartridge, that when pulled out of it's stone housing would make you King of Eng- Oopth! Wrong Thtory! No, anyway, a while (a LOOOOng while) back, someone posted something about a SMB4 game, and I thought it was pretty kuel (CUE-el). Well, on Sun, I was at the flea market when:

Lo and BEHOLD!

The cartridge stood before me in it's mighty luster. So I whipped out my trusty PocketFami (Dat machine's omazin'!) and plugged it in...

IT WORKED! I'll repeat for effect: IT COPULATE WORKED!

Prolly one of the kuelest moments of my life... Anyway, thought it would be neat to share witchu guys... The only downside is that I bought a clearly pirate SMB3 with it too... Cost me 13$ all & all... And SMB3 didn't work :( ...

Now, for something completely different!

Who here has ever read a Bode' (BO-dee) comic... Dat man is hilarious... Been readin' his excrement since age 10... CHEECH (and Junkwaffle) ALL THE WAY!

HOLY CRAP! IT'S FANBOY!!! RUN!!!!!!! Kidding, kidding. Or was I?

Anyways, that's cool and all, but it's really hard to believe you without pictures. What does the game play/look like? How about the lable? Also, you said you bought a pirate SMB3 cart with it; did you ever think that the SMB4 cart could ALSO be pirated? :?

But if it is real, that's sweet! :D

Yep, that's most definitely a pirated cart; looks like screens from Super Mario Land

The game itself, being what it is, is a pirated cart. It was never an official game... *Scoffs at dem damned officials* The literal translation is "Super Brothers IV" And in it, Mario can roll into a little ball and bounce! It's FUN! :D

Wow, I never thought anyone would actually get that game. I tip my hat to you.
I was that guy who mentioned it a long time ago. Here's the thread when Benheck.com first got a glimpse of the legend...

Yeah! Ohmigod thassit! Mario can roll up into a little ball and bounce people to death... Super kuel... No, I haven't beaten it yet... It's easy enough, I just don't have all that much time to play... Fun as heck... Anyvays, I'm looking to pick up Famicom Super Mario World. I've decided to start collect pirate Mario carts for the Famicom...

PS: Playing Mario with an Atari paddle controller is pretty frickin' hard!

Can't remember what game this really is, but IIRC it just has a few mario sprites added.

You can also turn into a kangaroo and a bird  ! AWMIGOD! Anyway, I'm looking into finding SMW for Famicom... That would be nice to add to the collection... A while back, someone, somewhere, posted a website that sold Famicom carts pretty cheap. All the prices were in yen and they had SMB 1-3 and USA...
