Mine thoughts exactly. Im going there at about 5pm (hopefully) and wait till midnight playin' DS in a chair.

I was going to preorder it at 10AM sharp when EB games opened up, but it turns out a Huge, Redicilously annoying snowstorm just happened to knock out power all over the area. (western NY) Some places are estimated not to have power until thursday, some not even until next week. So anywho, The wii preorders got delayed an extra day, and we got there an hour late to see them all sold out. bummer (d00d)

While I was waiting for EBGames to open, I was the first one there so I just waited in my car in the parking lot at their front door until someone else showed up. I found out that if I put my DS in the windshield, I could download the demos from the Download Station inside of EBGames. All the demos suck right now though. They had Mario vs Donkeykong 2, two gambling games, Brain Age and Big Brain Acadamy a Star Fox movie, and another movie. So, I was glad somebody showed up pretty quick. I wish I had've had Metroid Prime Hunters to keep me occupied for a while.

That's my exact plan. Do they actually restock at 12? Because they're open 24 seven. So you really don't even have to wait outside, just wait untill they take the Wiis out. Right?

EDIT: I didn't read bioniclebert's post. 5 pm? Do you think that many people are going to show up at Walmart?
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

Hehe. I've never gotten a console on launch date before, but now I'll have two. How? I work overnights at Target. Now how does that help me you may ask? Not only do "Team Members" (meaning employees) get a 10% discount on EVERYTHING in the store, but they also are allowed to make purchaces when they get of of work (as in before the store opens). So providing nothing extremely bad happens (getting fired, death, etc.) I should be playing a Wii and a PS3 all through that week.

You lucky.....I'm going to stop myself there. Man, that's sweet, though. That's why I'm working at Gamestop the second I hit age 16! :D

Well my cousin is the manager of my local EB, so I'd say my chances are pretty good.... :D

Seriously, though, atari, why are you always so pessimistic, spiteful, and/or just plain wrong?

Sorry, It's just that over here (CA), it's pretty hard to find a job at EB/GS, let alone trying to get hired there at 16.

Ah, I see. It's pretty much the same way over here, except there are enough rural areas where jobs are very available. Where are you in Cali? If you're in somewhere like LA (root of all evil) that's very understandable!

I'm planning to go to Target on launch day an hour before open and hope for the best.

Also, not to hijack this thread, but just out of curiousity, what are you guys planning on picking up at launch? I myself am getting the Wii + Wii Sports, Zelda, and an extra Wii Remote. If ExciteTruck or Monkey Ball get good reviews/my friends get them and say they are good, I may pick them up, but not at launch.

Man, I'm so glad I have a job now; a year ago there would be no chance of affording all this crap. :)

I don't think I can afford any games (aside Wii Sports), though when Super Mario Galaxy was believed to be a Launch Title, I was hoping to get that too on launch.

(By the way, I live in Sacramento)
