Okay I haven't posted on here in a long time but I need your help. I recently purchased a second N.E.S. as a bundle because it had a lot of games I liked with it. Now as I got it home it is not working.
Basically I turn it on and it powers up and then turns off then restarts. Repeat.
I can see the power supply is fine as I switched it with a few others and they do the same thing. I can see the first second of the game then it's like someone is pressing the 'Reset' button. The reset button is not stuck in anyway. It is quite late here and I'm not gping to open it up right now.
Just wanted to know what anybody thinks about it? Any suggestions are much appreciated!

This sounds like the very common NES problem: a bad cartridge connection.
First, clean the cartridge connector and try again. If it still does the same thing, take something like a sewing needle and bend the pins up a little. Your NES should work again. If it doesn't you may want to replace the cart connector with a couple old 5 1/4" floppy connectors.
I think this peoblem is caused by the lockout chip in the console. On the "super" NES mod page (<a href="http://benheck.com/Games/Nintendo_proje ... m">here</a>), you can see how to disable it and make Tengen happy.
