New Benheck Podcast Finally Up!
Yup, Episode 4 is done. Took a bit longer with my "must have a new intro every episode" mantra. That and moving these last few weeks has been tough. Regardless, I think this is my favorite intro yet, I asked Dale for help, I said Cops, he said Mario, bam, Police Files: Mario Squad was born.
Links are on the main page. Thank to everyone who listens, stats last month looked like we had about 900 downloads each of Episodes 2 and 4. Soon I hope to have RSS working for real numbers and stats, maybe I can put ads in though we rip on so much I don't know who.
http://www.benheck.com/podcasts/Benheck ... sode_4.mp3
Topics this time are the price of games, value of a console's online component and "Game Systems of the Future"
We also try to rip on Microsoft for a few things, you know, to spice things up. But don't worry - there's a Gamestop only a few miles from here and Jones and I WILL go in to check out the Wii, probably for a PS3/Wii "First Impressions" podcast.

But why destroy whole Anti-Wii raid by seeing how perfect it is? LOL *pWnZ*

Good podcast, Ben! Although you should have some of us on the show to defend our Wii-dom!
Seeing as your main topic seems to be problems with the Wii, I think I've got a new one: The cord between the numchuck. If someone (like me) were to get REALLY into the game and start flailing the thing around wildly, what if there wasn't enough slack between the two? And on the flip-side, if it's too long, it would just get in the way, which begs the question, "Why the HELL did Nintendo not integrate a wireless function between the two controller components?!?!"

You just thought of Nintendo's latest marketing gimmick to squeeze that extra few pennies out of you.CronoTriggerfan wrote:Good podcast, Ben! Although you should have some of us on the show to defend our Wii-dom!

Playing a minimum wage job in N64-ish graphics. Now I'm tempted.jones wrote:Just what they needed!Nicholai wrote:You just thought of Nintendo's latest marketing gimmick to squeeze that extra few pennies out of you.![]()
Maybe they'll bring out a Wii-mote Spatula and Burger Time 3-D as well. I'm sure there would be lines around the block for that.

I honestly don't think it's possible for anyone to resist this combination. I mean who wouldn't want to pay $250+ to play games that would have run on 5+ year old technology?Nicholai wrote:Playing a minimum wage job in N64-ish graphics. Well don't worry, we've already decided on our next topic and it shouldn't have anything to do with the Wii... PIRACY! ARRRR!!!!!
Course it might apply to virtual console, Xbox Live Arcade, whatever crap Sony does... that is, what about old games that fall through the cracks? How do we experience them?

Ok lets see if I'm getting the feel of this podcast right? Xbox 360 is a decent console, it's short comings are made up by the Xbox-live online support. Sony's PS3 is just an over priced waste of time. And the Wii is NIntendo's biggest joke. Is that right?
I have to admitt I do like to listen to you guys, you have valid points for whatever you say. I'm really loving the intros though, the intro to episode 3 was my favorite. "The PlayStation3 has a multitude of accessories and UNLIMITED POWER!!!" I love it.
