can someone give me specific steps on how to slolder the cartridge slot, i just soldered and connected the wires from the cart. slot to the n64 board in all the correct spots and it didnt work
can someone please help me, I must have done something that scews it up. if you can, just list all t he stuff you did.
Check your connections. Did you bridge anything or wire something wrong?
If not check again. Also if your n64 doesn't show the red light the power brick might have fliped check your connections. Repair them and try again in a day or two.
Did you desolder the extension port and then solder to the holes the cart slot plugged into? If so, you need to either solder the extension port back or solder the cart slot to the outer row of pins (minus the extra hole in each row).
I'd imagine right now you wish you were a cuttlefish...
what do u mean? What i did was, took out the cart. slot, then took off the extension slot, then wired the pins on the cart slot to the holes (on the side that the ext. slot was on) in the right places.
o and another thing, if the pins slide out a little bit, and you push them back in, will it still work? (the pins on the cart. slot)
ok, i''m using a new n64 now and i just broke off all the huge brass pins, and now i'm heating up those little solder spots and sticking the wires in and then letting them dry...so this should work.
