The first one would have had Gandolf teach Frodo about magic or sword fighting so somthing he would have used later in the movie(s).

Aw, it's just a mockumentary. But it's still pretty great. The voices and faces really bug me but what they said was great.

There would have been ridiulously unnecesary special effects, the acting would have been less-than-great, and there would have been more explosions.

Lets not forget that at the end it wouldn't have just been the Humans and Elves that were fighting, the Hobbits from the Shire would have joined.

There would have been many more races that doesn't speak english.

And we all know that Hawk people woudn't have seens so little of screen time.

Jar Jar would have been a great improvement for the Lord of the Rings films. Just think of him, Aragorn, and Gimli kicking ass together. Now that would rock. The rest of the movies would have sucked though, since Lucas is nowhere near the filmmaker Jackson is.

And don't forget the special effects special feature. Now that Industrial Light and Sound has been reduced to a mac with 3d rendering software and a guy wearing a 3d skelo-suit, would have involved 30 minutes of a couple of guys taking turns behind the keyboard re-plotting the lines for the eyebrows on frodo's face.
