Yeah I had the exact same problem, except sort of a different ending. Some connection on the controller touched another lead making my controller permanently like that(B is all buttons). But I had like 5 controllers for this project so it was no big to replace it.

Having a very odd problem with controller input
Im 95% complete my portable, but ive hit a bump. Im getting very odd controller input. No buttons work, EXCEPT for B. But, B isnt B. When i press it, games react like im pressing all the buttons at once. Ive wired the controller plug back to the board to test (used a few different controllers), and the problem is definitly on the motherboard itself.
Anyone have any clue what could cause this? Im stumped, and about to give up on this motherboard..

Wow, is there a dunce icon anywhere?
It was all a cold solder joint. If you look at my pic, i soldered the wires from the top (since i had the motherboard mounted already). Everything looked perfect from the top, but underneith it didnt penetrate. Ive been soldering for over a decade; i cant beleive i spent 3 hours trying to figure this out last night
Thanks for the reply though, and let this be a lesson to anyone else who has the same problem.

how much was it?grahf wrote:Yes, it is a supernes2go case. Brian was nice enought to have one made for me. He is willing to have more made for those that want them, but it is VERY expensive due to being made by a prototyping company. I wanted the smallest possible snes portable, so for me it was worth it.
