Weird Al's new album IS OUT TODAY!!!

Post by limpport »

Ah, finally. Straight out of Lynwood came out today, a long awaited album by Weird Al. He has two songs on his site for free download from his new album, and you can find some videos on Google Video. "White and Nerdy" is by far, the best video. He even brings up the ultimate question:"Kirk, or Picard?"

Anyone bought it yet?

I was just about to make a thread about this! Yes, I got it, and I can't recommend it more. The White and Nerdy video is great, and is the best song on the CD. Quite funny, I must add.

I'm more of a fan of his earlier work, but I'm really liking what I'm hearing about this album. Glad to see he's just as active as ever! :D

Some things I noticed about that video (after a couple piqued my curiocity):

- He's playing Minesweeper on Mac OS X

- The trivial Pirsuit card says:
  • In what city was the world's largest ball of twine built by one man?
What's the deal with Lindsay Lohan? I mean, seriously.
F.D.R. - Was he faking it?
On what page does Harry Potter die in the next book?
[ can't read the last one due to YouTube's compression system ]
- Captain Kirk vs. Captain Picard: Neither. Captain Pierce for the win.

I agree with Luc. "Al Classic" (before LASIK) was better, but "New Al" songs are pretty funny, too.

EDIT: Holey crap how is Donny Osmond still getting work?

Shouldn't that be Captain Pike?

•His username when playing Minesweeper is "whitenerdy"

•Same when he's editing Wikipedia--under Mac OS X (10.4)

•When editing Wikipedia, the "battery" icon is in the menu bar

•The Wikipedia article he's editing is "Atlantic Records"

•He apparently doesn't have a Wikipedia account (the button says "Sign in/Create account"

•etc…

Let me guess…

Some people actually followed his example?

Edit: ha…yep!
