I havent seen this before.. sorry I did a search and didn't see anything about it..

but we seem to have a new gamegear amoung us? kinda..
I thought I should post this..

Ive never seen it, dont know anything about it.. other than a lot of canadian online stores seem to have it for sale..

Wow, this is new! Pretty neat if you ask me! Don't know if it's worth 60 bucks though, and there's no way it beats out a good Genesis portable; still, great find. Wonder if it's actually licensed by Sega...

ya I acctually have one of these. I bought it when I was over in china. I payed the equivalent of like 30$ for it.It was a god send on the plane ride home. just think of it like the super joystick thing for nintendo exept with a cheap little screen plugged into the middle of it. It can hook up to a tv but that breaks real fast, the cord i mean, and the games are kinda glitchy, and the speakers broke real fast. But meh for 30 bucks it was worth it lol.

It says 8 bit games, so that makes me think it's a SMS-OAC or the more likely GameGear-OAC and not a GOAC. It does look interesting for $30 though.

Yeah all of those games are Gamegear games, so it is some sort of ggoac.

It looks very cheap... I wouldn't pay 60 bucks for this piece of crap. The screen also looks very bad and you can't really expect anything in a packaging like that to be good. If you wanna play Gamegear games just buy a Gamegear, it's not much bigger and it can play more than 20 games... It's probably even cheaper too.

It's good to see stuff like this though. Now if they just came up with a SNOAC

no the gamegear is based on the mstersystem hardware, it has chips in common it is not a mastersystem on a chip

Yes It is,Infact there is a converter allowing you to play Master System games on it.
Edit:It is Stronger then the SMS!
Edit2.0:But you can load SMS games to GG carts even.

No it isn't ~_~

The GameGear is based closely on Master System hardware, and is therefore compatable. However the GameGear is not an (blank)oac. A MSoac is a Master System condensed to one single chip, something not economical at the time of the GameGear. The GameGear is somewhat condensed, but still composed of several chips and components spread across a circuit board. Get it?

These are showing up in USA Target stores with a Coleco brand on them. I just grabbed one for $50 -- didn't realize they were being sold elsewhere with a different name.

It's nice for what it is. The screen and controls are high quality for a standalone device, and the plastic case is stiff like a football helmet. It appears to be an SMS on a chip from what I can tell.
