Yes, SNES 9X TYL ME is full speed, sound and all.

Devhook is already KXploited, which you don't really need if you have a custom firmware which lets you run 1.00 EBOOTS.

demonofaj, install a copy of devhook that can emulate 2.6 firmware (some sites dont include the firmware dump because of legality issues) then run devhook and select emulate 2.6 then run the UMD from the 2.6 xmb.

i would recommend using PSPcrazy.com forums for grabbing a devhook with firmware dumps preinstalled.

ARGH. So, I downloaded firmware 2.71, k? The site said to simply place it in a PSP/UPDATE folder on my memstick. I did that and nothing happened. :| I tried checking my system info. It said I was still running 2.6. I tried using the 2.6 upgrade on Ultimate Ghosts and Goblins, expecting to see a message somewhat along the lines of "HAHA N00B YOU CAN'T UPGRADE TO 2.6 FROM 2.7!!!!1111121" I simply got a message saying I didn't need to upgrade from 2.6 to 2.6. Any more help for me? Pretty please?

Go to the game thing, then go to memory stick, the update will be there, launch the 2.71 update.

Did you unzip it and is the file called EBOOT.PBP?

It wasn't zipped (at least not that I recall. Either way it's not zipped NOW.) and yes it's EBOOT.PBP

I'm downloading again at the moment. I did notice that a few of the other versions have US and UK firmwares.... Is the 2.7 there maybe Europe only? EDIT: Tried downloading again. Didn't work. Simply said "There are no games."

All the updates will work on any PSP. I tool the liberty of doing the directory stuff myself, just drag the PSP folder (when unzipped) to the root of your memory stick and press yes to overwrite all. Download the 2.71 update here.

Look, if you can't figure this out, then you OBVIOUSLY will not get homebrew working. I'm sorry, but you'll probably end up bricking your psp by taking out the battery or unpluging it or something :( I wouldn't have posted, but this is a three-strike kinda thing. Seriously, just stick with those nice commercial UMDs and don't take them out of the plastic, that's how they work.
Shhh! I'm not officially back yet.
