I guess it's understandable how you got it confused, it's kinda hard to differentiate the holes from anything else, seeing as that was against a black background. If you still think it's a hipgear when I update later tonight, though, you may wanna get that vision of yours checked!

The Gamecube is not an 128 bit system. It has a single 64 bit core.

Really? *looks up* Oh, I guess so! Thanks for catching me!

Onto the progress!!! My case is pretty much 100% done! Check it out!

Front plate: (NOTE- The large holes below the controller holes and in line with the bottom of the screen are speaker holes. I'll be putting layered black mesh below them.)

That's it for now, folks! I'll be done as soon as my regulator, battery, and split GC controller arrive!

Thanks! I'm using this battery from batteryspace.

Some small updates today! I got the entire rig running off batteries. Although I am having some problems with heat. I added a new heat shield, hopefully it'll be enough. I'll test tomorrow.

Also, I'm making the battery pack external with a DC jack input. Why, you ask? For one, my friend wanted to use this battery as a backup for his laptop as well. Also because he has a 12 volt DC adapter that fits the jack I'm putting on this portable, and it would decrease weight. Who knows; after playing it for a while, he may choose he wants me to put the batts inside the case, in which case I will do; but until that time, it'll be an external pack!

Well, it's done, and just hours before I depart for Canada to see PLAY! The Video Game Symphony! So excited! I better catch some Z's though, so here's the pics:

It was a bit rushed, and I'm also not huge on the fact that my friend wouldn't let me open the GC casing to do a full portable, but that's okay, it's his present after all.

A special thanks goes out to gannon for some late-night AIM tips, Turbo Tax 1.0 for doing the majority of the controller wiring, Bic for the regulator layout, and Skyone for some questions answered.
