Zenith Screen ginormous ZOMG capacitator?

If you're making a portable you probably need something to watch it on. (Unless you want to guess what's happening in the game, but I wouldn't advise that) Anyway, this forum is your "Hacking a pocket TV/screen" one-stop solution. Share your experiences and knowledge here.

Zenith Screen ginormous ZOMG capacitator?

Post by demonofaj »

Well, last thread got deleted, so here's a new one.

Do I absolutely need the 1000uf capacitator to work the Zenith PSONE screen, and I need response from a guy who has tested this and such.

The answer is no. I have one. You don't need it, and from what I can tell it doesn't do much, either.

its a filtering cap, it cleans the noise out of the power line, making it cleaner and reducing noise on screen

Well, I'm gonna take Kurt's word for it, and well, I'm tight on space, and that goddamn capacitator isn't fitting. :P
